SOLD!!! Fender Tex Mex Stratocaster (tm) SOLD!!!
Quick page on my 1996 Tex Mex Strat. I like this Strat a lot- it's got a great neck, good p'ups, and a nice feel. A very nice feeling Strat with a flattish C-shaped neck. It currently has a '57/62 RI pickup in the neck, a Custom 50's in the middle, and a Fat 50's in the bridge, all Fender Custom shop pups- I picked out which ones I thought would work best to accentuate the different positions. I also have a Stew Mac 5-way switch installed which gives me bridge, bridge/middle, bridge/neck, middle/neck, and neck. Tone controls are on the neck and bridge pups, which makes the bridge a whole lot more useful.
Condition is good- there is one decent whack in the back, numerous Levis scratches, and numerous "leaned against something hard" dents in the back of the neck, all of which were there when I got it. It's been played. And it likes to be played! None of the wear affects the playability and just means that I don't have to worry about it.
[I sold this guitar in Feb. 2001 to raise money for a custom Proulx acoustic, and because I rarely played it, using the B-bender Tele instead.]
